ABOUT OUR PARTNERS

Thailand

DO-IT has established strong relationships with partners in Thailand. There is a big potential in organic produce due to the fertile regions, traditional methods, and advanced techniques. NGC, Natural Growth Company is run by Tom and Anna-Marie Barns. The couple has a long experience in organic agriculture in Asia. As insiders they know the culture and the ins and outs. They are very concerned about the country and the people and aware of the specific needs of the projects.

Bolivia

In Bolivia DO-IT set up a project with the French company Markal and the Bolivian company QuinoaBol. The project is situated in the Altiplano highlands in southwest Bolivia. The main product is the quinoa grain. In Peru quinoa comes direct from farmer groups. The farmers are visited every year to keep in close contact and be able to tackle possible problems. During the visits celebrations are held in a colourful way with traditional customs and costumes.

China

In 1998 DO-IT started a partnership with Huaen, and today DO-IT imports many organic products from China. Nowadays the project is well developed according to European standards. There is recycled compost from livestock waste and crop surplus. Organic farms have developed natural methods for pest control such as “Red Eye Bees”, and each field has a sign to designate organic and a field number.

Canada

One of DO-ITs dedicated account managers, Frank, once had a dream about farming in North America, where the fields are endless and have no horizon. Today his farm is proud to be a partner of DO-IT, and not just for this one farm. “With a group of about 10 organic farms we supply DO-IT with organic black lentils and organic French green lentils through Remoué Family Farms Ltd”. A unique supply chain, open and as short as possible.
