Use

Wakame's mild flavour and soft texture make it one of the most popular of sea vegetables. To prepare, simply soak a small length in tepid water for 10 minutes. If desired, cut out and discard ribs. Chop fronds. Wakame is delicious in soups and stews; add towards the end of cooking to retain its delicate flavour and appearance. For a cooling and exotic salad, combine chilled wakame with sliced cucumber or orange sections and a vinegared dressing. Lightly baked in a medium oven and ground into a powder with roasted sesame seeds, it makes a tasty condiment for grain dishes.
